Jay-Z Lands Deal To Bring 40/40 Clubs To Airports In The U.S.

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop star Jay-Z is expanding his business empire with a new deal that will bring his popular 40/40 Club to select airports across the United States.
The rap mogul and his partners Juan and Desiree Perez have struck a deal with Delaware North Companies, one of the world's leading and hospitality service providers.
Additionally, Delaware North Companies is one of the largest privately held companies in the U.S., with annual revenues exceeding $2 billion dollars.
"The 40/40 Club is all about creating first-class experiences for guests who want to relax and watch their favorite games," said Desiree Perez. "We want to see our club grow, and to bring those experiences to travelers. A partnership with Delaware North will do just that."
The new deal could bring Jay-Z's 40/40 Club into up 20 major U.S. airports, where Delaware North Companies operate dozens of national and regional brand restaurants.
"We are thrilled to partner with the 40/40 Club, to bring a stylish sports bar and lounge to airports across the country," said Robert Stanton, vice president of business development. "From the personalized, one-of-a-kind jerseys on the wall, to every sports game you can think of on the television screens, the club will bring a new experience that we are sure travelers will welcome."
In related news, AllHipHop.com has learned that Jay-Z's flagship 40/40 Club in Manhattan will close from April to July of 2011 to undergo a complete renovation. The Atlantic City location, which opened in 2005, will remain open.

Jay Electronica Signs to Roc Nation

“Jay-Z invites you to an evening of magic” was the words spoken by President Carter for a secret show at New York City’s The Box on Friday (November 12). But it turns out that this “little” secret show was actually the signing of a well-known underground rapper ‘Jay Electronica’ who hails from New Orleans. “He’s an official Roc Nation signee. Make some noise!!!” said Jay-Z while introducing Jay Electronica to the stage.

MC Hammer / Jay-Z Beef Over

(AllHipHop News) And like that, it was over.
MC Hammer has declared that the beef between he and Jay-Z has now come to an abrupt ending.
“As a responsible veteran of twenty something years of this [Hip-Hop]. I can't leave it out there with tensions,” MC Hammer told AllHipHop.com exclusively. “I am reading comments on both sides, it's not about that, I have seen all of that before. There is an opportunity to say at some point. We onto the next thing. You know, Jay took his shot and I answered. Now let's move on.”
Hammer also told his nearly 2 million followers on Twitter that he was ready for peace.
“7 Days is enough. I'm Accepting Jay Z at his "Word" and moving on. I made my point. #KingHammer,” he tweeted. Jay-Z denied that he was dissing Hammer in recent interviews, stating he was only being lyrical on the Kanye West track "So Appalled."
Furthermore, Hammer told AllHipHop.com that other matters were commanding his attention, those in his native Oakland.. The recent case surrounding Oscar Grant’s murder and the controversial two-year sentencing of the officer that killed him was one matter. Of the case Hammer tweeted, "The Justice System failed again. Oscar Grant (RIP) was an unarmed victim slain by the court today."
Even more recently, another unarmed man named Derrick Jones, 37, was shot and killed by police in Oakland.
Hammer recently sent out a picture of himself, Oscar Grant’s family and other members of the community (seen at the bottom of the article) after speaking out at an event.
Of the Jay-Z beef, while it is over, Hammer said that he simply wanted to make sure Hip-Hop was educated on who his is now, not only from the late 80’s and a 90’s.
“I already know that this [beef] was going to go down like this. I know the Hip Hop audience. Ain’t nobody more aware than me,” he concluded.

Obama Looking To Jay-Z For Campaign Help

As President Obama nears re-election time, his camp behind his 2008 election campaign is trying to figure out how to capture the youth and minority vote and it looks like they’ve found an answer: Jay-Z. Deputy White House Press Secretary William Burton told the New York Post “I can’t believe you’ve finally heard the chatter about him replacing Larry Summers.” The key word in this statement is “chatter”. No official statement has been made saying Jay is replacing anyone or doing anything related to Obama. “In all seriousness, keep in mind he was pretty active during the 2008 election, so I don’t think it’d surprise anyone that he would be involved again. But it’s a little premature” he says.
I think it’s way to early to suggest anything. There were several people who were also active during Obama’s election campaign back in 2008, but does that mean they’re going to replace Larry Summers? I doubt it. Obama’s camp will do what they deem is necessary to capture the vote of the young people and whether it involves a high-profile celebrity like Jay-Z, we’ll just have to wait and see.

WOW.... What do you think about this one?

It seems that no one at the Miami Dade Police Department reads Forbes magazine. If they did they would have immediately recognized one of the men on the cover, quarter-of-a-billionaire rap mogul Jay Z, as the gang banger illustrated on the front page of their website.
Once word began to spread, the police quickly removed the graphics, according to Miami New Times. There was no comment or explanation forthcoming from the police, according to Karen Civil.
Of course the Miami Dade Police knew who Jay Z was. We’re sure they deliberately used his images to portray a gang banger, because after all, didn’t Warren Buffet say the children can learn from Jay Z? Doesn’t Jigga continue to glorify his former drug dealing lifestyle in his songs?
This goes to prove that it doesn’t matter how many zeros Jay Z has in his portfolio, or how many Armani suits he has hanging in his closet, he will always be just another gang banger to law enforcement.
