The cause of Heavy D’s sudden death has been ruled inconclusive. The L.A. coroner’s office says that they will be, “deferring further judgment until they receive a toxicology report.” There were, however, no illegal drugs found at heavy D’s home, and he was taking prescribed medication for a cough. He had just returned from London, and was reportedly suffering from pneumonia.
Heavy D’s family announced a public wake will take place on Thursday, in Mount Vernon, New York, Heavy’s hometown.
The funeral is scheduled for Friday. Both Diddy and the Reverend Al Sharpton are expected to speak. Check out Heavy D’s memorial website, rememberheavyd.com.
